Heritage offers a variety of classes for pregnancy and beyond.

The Dad’s Perspective

  • Free
  • Taught by Doug Peoples
  • The baby’s here, how what? This class is one father’s candid advice about what to expect when everything settles and it’s just you and the baby.

Babywearing 101

  • $30 for one, $15 additional
  • Taught by Chelsie Kochanowski
  • Taught by certified babywearing educator, this class will go over why it’s important to babywear, proper positioning and safety. You will also be able to try out different options and see what works best for you.

Postpartum Care First 48hrs

  • Taught by Heritage Staff
  • Having a baby is a wonderful and exciting experience. However, a lot of questions may rise once you and your sweet baby are home. This class is to review what is normal in the immediate postpartum period for both mother and baby with the goal of making this time as pleasant and smooth as possible.

Placenta Medicine

  • Taught by Krystle Gard
  • This class will discuss placenta medicine. You will leave with a clear understanding of what placenta medicine is, what it can help cure, how it works and your options.

Introduction to Breast Feeding

  • Taught by Tammy Gifford
  • This class will go over the fundamentals of breastfeeding. This includes; breastfeeding in the first 24hrs, skin to skin, feeding on demand, what is a good latch and other tips create a positive breastfeeding for both mom and baby.

Doula Support

  • Taught by Krystle
  • This class will go over the difference between a midwife and a doula, what a doula can do for you, where does dad fit in and much, much more. This class will give you a better understanding of how doulas support can enhance your birth.

Cloth Diapers 101

  • Taught by Stormy
  • There are many different kinds and brands of cloth diapers, and getting started can be overwhelming. This class will break it down to basics and have examples to look through. We will also talk about cloth wipes and washing your diapers.
